1. Kay "Super" Jumbo - The Mumbo Jumbo - Late 50's $850 AUD
J200 style with solid original x braced spruce top. Sunburst flamed maple back, side & neck. Pearl block inlays on Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with adjustable truss rod. Original Patent pending nickel Grovermatic tuners, faux tortoise shell pickguard. Pearl inlay Kay logo & name on headstock. At some period an American Eagle wood marquetry overlay & a new bridge were added. New bone nut & saddle. Fully bound body & neck. Some stabilised cracks, minor dings & crazing. This guitar just sounds so sweet, listen to Emmylou Harris and you will have some idea of the tones this guitar offers.
2. Kay 15" Jumbo Early 60's $800 AUD
J200 style body. Ladder braced spruce top, maple back, side & neck. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with adjustable truss rod. Kay pressed metal head plate. Fully bound body & neck with zipper binding on front & soundhole. JLD bridge system fitted. Action is about 5/32" at the 12th fret. Original bone saddle & new bone nut. Original plate tuners.
Overall very clean & original with minor dings, scratches & crazing.
3. GP Wilson year unknown $500 AUD
Archtop cutaway with spruce top, body & neck maple & rosewood fingerboard. Multiply binding on body has wood inner & outer & black/white/black plastic between. White binding on f holes. Height adjustable bridge with bone compensated saddle, bone nut. Schaller style tuners.
Overall very fine conditions with a small scratch on headstock face & a few pickmarks on treble side above f holes.
6. Stella parlour style '69 $500 AUD
Short run model with 6 in line headstock, fixed brass saddle wood bridge, 12 fret neck, screwed on white plastic pickguard. All birch with average wear for age. New bone nut, good brass plate 6 in line tuners. Rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots. Good brass frets.
Ladder braced top small body guitar aged beautifully. Sweet, brilliant top end. Nice mid definition & mild bottoms. This is a classic Stella.
